About Us: Hi I'm Russ. I started this business a few years ago because I had a dream to run the entire length of Africa and quickly realised it wasn't going to be possible on my own. After 352 days of daily ultramarathons and lots of stories to tell, we made it, and we documented the whole thing on social media (search russ cook on any of the platforms to find it) and now I'm looking to what is next.
We have a passion for adventure and aswell as having eyes on some big 'Project Africa' type missions in the future, we have also started Hardest Adventures, which is aimed at taking other people on mad dog adventures all over the world, for FREE.
A big part of this is creating content from these adventures. Our mission is to inspire our audience through captivating stories and visually dynamic content. As we expand, we’re looking for a talented Junior Videographer to join our team and help bring our stories to life.
The Role: As a Junior Videographer, you’ll play an essential role in capturing and editing high-quality video content that aligns with our adventurous, challenge-based ethos. You’ll work closely with our creative team, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of video production. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in a creative and fast-paced environment while contributing to inspiring content.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, filming, and editing video content for social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
- Capture high-quality footage in various settings, from studio shoots to outdoor adventures.
- Collaborate with the creative team to bring ideas to life, ensuring videos align with our brand style and voice. Organize and manage video assets, maintaining an efficient workflow.
- Stay up-to-date with video trends, especially within the adventure and social media space, to keep our content fresh and engaging.
What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for videography, some examples of past work would be beneficial (could include school projects, freelance work, or personal projects).
- Proficiency in video editing software, or desire and ability to learn.
- A creative eye and attention to detail, with a passion for storytelling through video.
- Interest in adventure, pushing limits, and our brand’s ethos.
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment, sometimes with quick turnarounds.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage files and projects efficiently.
