Friends of the Earth is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join us as a Postcode Gardener Project Coordinator. In this role, you will establish and manage a national network of Postcode Gardeners, empowering communities to nurture nature in their local areas.
You will be focussed on:
- coordinating the launch of new locations
- forging partnerships
- providing support to each Postcode Gardener project
- embedding outcome and impact measurement frameworks
- fostering collaboration through exciting peer-to-peer initiatives
- driving project success through effective communication, budgeting and planning

Key Skills and Attributes:
- Proven experience in project coordination, network development, or community-focused initiatives.
- Exposure to project management and experience in project coordination including the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables effectively.
- A natural relationship builder with strong interpersonal skills, capable of fostering productive partnerships with diverse stakeholders who are geographically dispersed, including communities from various socio-economic backgrounds, races, genders, and paid/unpaid individuals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present project objectives and progress to various audiences.
- Flexibility and resilience in adapting to changes and overcoming challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Your genuine interest in environmental sustainability, community development, and the mission of the Postcode Gardener program will fuel your success and make a lasting impact.
- Familiarity with outcome and impact frameworks, and experience in tracking and reporting project impact data.
The team:
As a member of the Postcode Gardener Project delivery team, you will work closely with the Postcode Gardener Project Lead. Together, you will spearhead the ambition to green over 1,000 nature-deprived spaces within the next 3 years, thanks to our exciting partnership with The Co-operative Bank. This small team sits within the wider Communities and Networks Department.
Collaborating closely with our corporate partnerships and engagement colleagues, you will showcase the positive impact on communities and biodiversity, inspiring and engaging both Friends of the Earth and the Co-operative Bank's audiences.

Hours: full time (30 hours over 4 days)
