Island Caretaker Couple

We are seeking a highly experienced domestic couple with a background in luxury hospitality and UHNW estates to embark on an exciting opportunity on a newly acquired private island in the British Virgin Islands. The principal envisions this dynamic couple to not only maintain and oversee the island but also actively promote it, participating in a unique campaign to attract 'barefoot luxury tourism' as the island undergoes significant transformation.

Prior experience working in luxury hospitality or UHNW estates is essential, though if one half of the couple has a private household background and the other half is more media focused such applications will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Island Oversight and Maintenance:

• Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the island's facilities and infrastructure.
• Oversee landscaping, beaches, and outdoor spaces to impeccable standards.
• Contribute to the creation vision for the primary residence and guest accommodations.

Hospitality Services:​

• Ensure the initial skeleton staff deliver meal preparation,housekeeping and concierge services to a high standard 
• Coordinate and manage events and special occasions hosted on the island.
• Deliver the ‘barefoot luxury hospitality’ experience to investors and guests of the principal before completion of the project

Promotion and Public Relations:

• Actively participate in a campaign to promote the island as a "barefoot luxury" destination.
• Be comfortable documenting your experience as well as the transformation of the island 
• Share your experiences and promote the island on various media platforms.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in luxury hospitality and UHNW estates is essential
• Ability to manage a team of many different cultures 
• Strong knowledge of household management and guest services.
• Knowledge of maintaining high-end properties and landscaping.
• Media-savvy with the ability to comfortably appear on camera
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a remote and self-sustaining environment
• Prior experience working in the Caribbean 
• Clear DBS and ACRA Report
