Reporting into the Global Marketing Director, the Partnerships Manager focuses on developing and executing strategic partnerships that support Rapha’s marketing and commercial objectives. Playing a critical role in growing Rapha’s awareness, brand heat and driving innovation, the candidate will aim to achieve strategic goals through partnership and collaboration activations.
Working with stakeholders across the business, the Partnerships Manager will identify collaboration partners that align with Rapha’s strategic objectives and values, conducting research to assess the potential value and impact of these partnerships. The candidate will have natural gravitas with the ability to pitch and build rapport with partners, clearly communicating the benefits of collaborating with Rapha and finding ways to align with Rapha’s goals for mutual benefit.
With responsibility for identifying potential partners, negotiating agreements, managing the go-to-market strategy and ensuring the successful execution of collaboration initiatives across on and off bike categories, the Partnerships Manager acts as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to foster mutually beneficial relationships and drive brand growth.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for sport and be on the pulse of cultural trends, using this insight to identify partnership opportunities.
Please note this will be a 9 month contract.
The Role:
Lead partnership identification and development, managing the 1-3 yr collaboration roadmap.
Assess the potential value of partnerships through an established framework and KPI’s to measure success.
Negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring that contracts are comprehensive and compliant.
Act as the primary point of contact for partners, forging strong and mutually beneficial relationships.
Work with internal teams and lead cross-functional collaboration to develop holistic strategies and initiatives.
Manage the end-to-end process for collaboration projects, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
Budget and resource management, ensuring Rapha’s partnerships are efficient and profitable.
Stay informed about trends and market dynamics to identify new partnership opportunities.
The Candidate
At least 5 years experience in partnership management within the marketing space, with proven ability to build relationships.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to negotiate.
Expert in project management, able to own an end-end process and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Analytical mindset with the ability to track and measure partnership performance.
Proficiency in contract negotiation and drafting.
Clear understanding of the cycling market and wider industry.
Ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
