What will you be doing?
The Scheme seek an experienced trustee or someone with Board level experience and expertise to maintain an overview of the charity’s affairs. In particular we would like to hear from those with an HR background. We are a new charity (formed 2022) and have already attracted significant funding and are a key player in our community. We aim to make a tangible and positive difference to the lives of people in West Lothian who are impacted by drugs and addiction by using creative methods, something never done before so you will be part of something innovative. Having someone who is passionate and dedicated is more important than having all the skills below as we can provide training and support. More important is a willingness to learn and be able to dedicate the time and energy. The specific responsibilities of the Trustee include the following:
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with our values and mission. Manage future recruitment processes for both staff and volunteers Oversee volunteer & staff development and training programmes Maintain employee records and documents, including employment contracts, payroll, benefits, and personnel files. Monitor and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. To keep the board informed about its HR duties and responsibilities To contribute to the fundraising strategy of the charity and assist in funding applications
