What will you be doing?
We are looking for trustees who can bring fundraising and grant writing experience, accountancy qualifications and experience, and someone with operational HR experience with insights, passion, and time to help us to realise our potential and build a sustainable future for our charity. We are one year into a new 5 year Strategic Plan to ensure we can meet the demands for our services. Therefore, we need to add to the skills sets the Board currently has to support our staff team. We are looking to welcome new Trustees who are committed to the work we do, and we are particularly, but not exclusively, seeking individuals with a successful track record in one or more of the following areas:
Fundraising – ideally experience of Fundraising strategy, particularly bid writing/ grant & trust funding applications. Accountancy and finance Marketing
You do not need to have experience of having been a Trustee before, as there is a comprehensive induction to the role.
What are we looking for?
For the three different Trustee roles we are looking for:
Experience in accountancy Fundraising – ideally experience of fundraising strategy, bid writing/ grant & trust funding applications. Marketing – Marketing strategy, CRM, digital marketing and revenue generation.
What difference will you make?
Becoming a Trustee is a fantastic way to give something back to a cause you care about, and to put your professional skills and experience to good use, in ensuring that our charity continues to thrive and develop, to meet the needs of local families, maintain good governance and ensure we remain sustainable and viable. As part of our board you will support and shape our work and strategic direction, as well as help us achieve our purpose to deliver high quality, volunteer led services to support families with young children through challenging times. We help parents grow in confidence and enjoy positive family relationships. This is a vital role, helping ensure we can continue our support for families and children in Hertfordshire. As a trustee, you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the strategic progression of the charity. The role of trustees is so important to us - not only do we need someone to continue to oversee our charity in these key areas, but even more significantly, we are looking for someone to help us continue to develop our vision for the future. Trustees are a key role in our organisation. Your leadership and commitment will ensure we continue to provide and extend our range of much-needed support and services to our beneficiaries. You will join a friendly and welcoming group of fellow Trustees, who are committed along with all staff and volunteers, to furthering the development of the charity. We offer in conjunction with HSUK, a comprehensive induction programme, which includes an opportunity to meet with staff and volunteers and our beneficiaries to see the support we offer.
