What will you be doing?
Act4Africa’s Charity Ambassador/Community Fundraiser Act4Africa Uganda is an award-winning NGO, working with long-standing partners and registered charity Act4Africa UK. We aim to reduce poverty and transform communities through our health, education, agriculture and livelihood programmes. Reducing gender inequality is central to our work. In our experience, it provides the most fundamental obstacle to eradicating poverty. Key Responsibilities
Identify opportunities to raise funds from varying community audiences, creating tailored engagement and activity plans Provide Act4Africa’s supporters with excellent stewardship and donor care to ensure they become and remain committed supporters Develop and manage relationships with key local community groups and organisations through networking, to maximise on-going support and income potential Help us with increasing sign ups for our challenge events Help us plan and create tailored communications to promote community fundraising activities Actively maintain donor records on CRM system Help us design fundraising packs and supporter journey materials Assist us with our donor thank you process
What are we looking for?

Be an all - round good egg, team player and have a desire to be the best you can be and deliver income Willingness to provide amazing customer experiences that result in loyalty, repeat support and income delivery Willingness to seeking out, develop and maintain a network of potential partnerships and relationships with key supporters Ability to maintaining focus and energy even with longer term relationships Ability to be thinking differently and creatively about how we can work with others, provide excellent stewardship that delivers income Willingness to research, undertake and initiate fundraising activities and events Willingness to learn or experience in preparing and delivering presentations Ability to proficiently use industry standard IT systems (e.g. Microsoft Office, Email, PowerPoint, Internet, etc.) Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to converse and communicate to a wide audience.
Time commitment for the volunteer: Ultimately, we would be extremley grateful for any time you can give us, but be great if you could commit to at least 3-4 hours per week Location: From home/Fully remote, but should you wish you are very welcome to visit us in Chichester too
What difference will you make?
At Act4Africa - we are very fortunate as we have very loyal supporter/donor base, but at the year 22 since our foundation our greatest challenge yet is to reach new supporters, while looking after our exiting donor base, by joining our team as Act4Africa's Charity Ambassador/Community Fundraiser, we hope that you will enhance our teams skills set, help us reach wider audience of supporters, help us increase our income and overall organisational sustainability and in turn of course help our beneficiaries, who are young underprivileged mothers in Uganda.
