Role Summary
- Oversee the Finance activities of the Swedish division and support accounting for other countries.
- Coordinate the submission of financial reports and management accounts.
- Handle accounts receivable, credit control, and accounts payable.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and intercompany recharges with the Global Tax team.
- Review payroll, Social Security calculations, and ensure local tax compliance.
- Implement transfer pricing policies and manage annual audits.
- Maintain external relationships with banks, auditors, and accountants.
- Participate in global finance projects and document accounting procedures.
Role Requirements
- Experience in international accounting and finance.
- Knowledge of Swedish tax laws and GAAP.
- Proficiency in English and Swedish, with strong communication skills.
- Excellent IT and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
- CA/ACA/ACCA qualification and Big 4 experience are advantageous.
- Familiarity with IFRS is a plus.

Job summary:
In this challenging position, you will be responsible for the Finance activities of our Swedish presence. You will also assist with accounting tasks in other countries, as a member of the Global Accounting team. As the local Senior Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating with stakeholders across South Pole and also external stakeholders to ensure reporting is complete in a timely fashion.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
Prepare and submit the monthly and yearly financial reporting pack and management accounts for the local entity.
Manage accounts receivable and credit control.
Accounts Payable.
Manage cash, including weekly cash flow forecasts.
Coordinate with the Global Tax team the billing, review and reconciliation of intercompany recharges.
Review monthly payroll and Social Security calculations.
Ensure full local taxation compliance with the completion and submission of mandatory local direct and indirect tax returns.
In coordination with the Global Tax team and the local consultants implement transfer pricing policy and procedures together with the review and submission.
Manage annual audits for the Swedish entities.
Manage external relationships, such a banks, external accountants, auditors.
Collaborate with Group Accounting Team on various global finance projects.
Document all accounting procedures and ensure they are in alignment withGroup policies.
Requirements:
Essential -
Relevant experience in international accounting and finance.
Swedish tax legislation and statutory reporting knowledge.
Knowledge of Swedish GAAP
High-energy, flexible and responsive work style; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and fluent in English and Swedish.
Excellent IT skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Able to work closely in a diverse team, but also independently, able to liaise effectively with stakeholders within the organization.
Desirable -
CA/ACA/ACCA equivalent qualified.
Experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm is a plus.
IFRS experience.
