Good Law Practice is a not-for-profit law firm that uses the law for a better world. We are independent and SRA-regulated. We are a relatively new organisation with a friendly, energetic, and motivated team.

The role requires a qualified solicitor, who has considerable experience of running their own litigation, is comfortable with supervising others, and has minimal need for supervision on day-to-day casework. However, we also offer excellent training and supervision where needed, and the opportunity to progress. We are interested in hearing from lawyers whose practice has focused on environmental law litigation, but who also have public law experience.

The successful candidate will be proactive, have a sense of adventure, and feel comfortable within a dynamic, rapid-paced environment. If you are an experienced environmental law lawyer with a passion for the environment, for working with organisations to achieve their purpose, and ambitious to establish Practice as a force in the world, we invite you to join our team and contribute to making a lasting contribution to the future of the planet.

We are hiring a defamation law specialist to join us as a pivotal member of our legal team, playing a vital role in defending the voices of activists against threats from wealthy individuals or corporations while actively countering attempts to stifle public participation.

To apply, please send us one 3-page document consisting of: your CV (max one page), your covering letter of no more than two pages outlining: why you are interested in the role, how you meet the requirements, what motivates you to work at Good Law Practice, how your skills and experience would make you a suitable candidate, whether you consider yourself to have a disability or not, where you found out about the job opportunity, include details of two referees, your current notice period, your availability for interviews which are likely to take place during week commencing 25 July 2022.
