Volunteer Fundraising & Sponsorships Lead

What will you be doing?

Role Purpose

To manage all aspects of fundraising and sponsorships within the Step Up Network CIC.

  Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

Develop, implement and review a funding strategy for the network (including managing all operational requirements for this plan). Work with the Founder & Chair and relevant Vice Chairs to manage the finances accurately and develop fundraising activities from such work.  Ownership, writing, implementation and monitoring of all fundraising and sponsorship related policies. Act as the main point of contact for sponsors and funders.  Write high quality bids and funding applications. 

  Logistics This is a remote role which you can volunteer from in any area of the UK. You will work within our team under the direction of our Vice Chair for Strategy & Impact and the Vice Chair for Partnerships & Programmes. It might be appropriate for you to attend our annual in-person strategy day, but this will be discussed during the year. The role will include regular liaison with the Founder and Chair who has responsibility for finance.

What are we looking for?

Have a passion for fundraising. Have experience of fundraising, bid writing etc. Desirably, has experience of recruiting and managing sponsors. Has a good sense of humour. Is confident in meeting new people. Is computer literate. Is comfortable presenting to others (virtual and in person). Is a good communicator, who is organised.  Has a good level of written and spoken English. Has access to a computer including a strong internet connection. Aligns to the values and mission of Step Up.
