Role Summary:
- Strategically partner with the Chief Technology Officer to align people plans with technology goals.
- Manage the full change lifecycle for the Engineering Discipline, overseeing an organization of over 380 people.
- Collaborate with leaders to enhance performance, engagement, and organizational health.
- Drive diversity, equity, and belonging initiatives within the tech sector.
- Analyze data to inform decisions and drive organizational improvements.
- Ensure compliance and governance in people-related matters.
- Coach and empower managers to become effective leaders.
- Develop strong diversity and inclusion practices within teams.
- Work with People leads on team-specific needs and stay updated with external trends.
Role Requirements:
- Proven experience in executive-level relationship building.
- Extensive experience as a People Partner in a tech environment.
- A commitment to inclusion in all aspects of work.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company.
- Experience in organizational design, employee relations, succession planning, and talent development.
- Skilled in data analysis for decision making.

We are growing our People Partner team and are looking to hire an experienced People Partner who is excited by our mission and goals. You will work side by side with our leaders to design and deliver their people strategy and deliver excellent people experience in the areas you support. You will be bringing your know-how and wisdom to the team, coaching our Monzonauts to drive great outcomes.
You will collaborate with your peers in the People Collective and leverage their expertise in your relationships with your leaders and client groups. You will be responsible for the breadth of the employee lifecycle in your areas. You will be keen to think deeply about how an organisation, like Monzo, can scale and flourish and what our people policies, processes and ways of working can do to accelerate that.
You will be part of the leadership team of your particular business area, but your home team will be the People Collective. Your home team will be a source of information, expertise, support, laughs and encouragement.

The Role
What you'll be doing:
(This is a permanent role. Initially you will support our Engineering discipline as our People Partner is on caregiver leave - but after the first year you’ll take on new clients with the same responsibilities).
- Work as a strategic partner to the Chief Technology Officer, creating and delivering against a people plan that enables the Tech strategy at Monzo.
- Owning the full change management cycle for the Engineering Discipline - an organisation of over 380 people.
- Collaborating with VP’s and Directors within the Engineering discipline to drive high performance, engagement and healthy org design.
- Own the people life-cycle within your technical business area proactively iterating and improving approach as you go.
- Collaborating with our Diversity Lead to drive measurable change in company level DEB goals within Tech.
- Identify and surface trends in data to improve organisational health and drive change through your stakeholders.
- Be responsible for People compliance and governance within your business area
- Empower and coach managers to level them up as leaders
- Help teams develop strong diversity and inclusion practices
- Work with the leads in People (Learning & Development, Reward, Talent, etc.) to define team specific requirements
- Monitoring external trends to inform best practices internally.
You should apply if:
- You have experience of building strong, trusting relationships at the executive level.
- You have significant experience as a People Partner in a tech company

- You have designed and delivered new ways of doing things
- You’re comfortable analysing data to make data based decisions
- You have experience in things such as organisational design, employee relations, succession planning and talent development

Our average process takes around 3-4 weeks but we will always work around your availability.
