Elevator Pitch: The Company. Us. Runway East.

Did you want to grow up and work in a boring office? Us neither. At Runway East, we’ve been on a mission to destroy boring offices since 2014, in whatever size, shape, and form they take. Since launching, we now have 10 buildings in London, Bristol, Brighton and Birmingham offering unique flexible office space for teams of 1 - 100 to work in, enjoying everything from dogs on demand to our famed Friday drinks trolley.

Our Runway East team enjoys a bunch of great benefits and unrivalled perks from private healthcare to team trips abroad. We’ve also recently become a B Corp and think it’s important for our team to give a damn about its impact on the planet and its people.

Runway East has a strong brand, passionate customer base, and most importantly, a product members genuinely love. Post-covid, the way of working has been flipped upside down and the demand for flexibility is greater than ever. We’re ready to take full advantage of that.

Elevator Pitch: The Job. It’s a great job. We promise.

This London based role is perfect for a results-driven sales expert with 3+ years of experience. If you love connecting with people, dealing almost exclusively with warm leads, and driving a hard (but always friendly) bargain, this job is perfect for you.

As our Sales Manager, you’ll be taking prospective members from tour through to sale across our London sites, as well as renewing our existing members, working alongside two other Sales Managers in London.

We run a consultative sales process, with a focus on ensuring that members (and where relevant their brokers) understand the value we can offer their unique needs, and matching members to office spaces sized between 4 - 100 people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Sales: Conduct thorough pre-tour research, use consultative selling to tour prospective leads and ensure high conversion rates, and prepare personalized proposals. Hit sales targets, maintain a clean CRM, and continuously learn to improve your sales techniques.
  • Existing Member Retention: Engage members in timely renewal conversations, increase desk rates, and upsell office mods and services. Achieve retention targets and ensure high satisfaction among current members.
  • Pipeline Management: Log all leads in our CRM, ensure all lifecycle stages are accurately recorded, and keep your notes up to date. Hit lead conversion rate targets and proactively build a robust pipeline.
  • Broker Engagement: Many of our members find us through one of our broker partners (think like an estate agent, but in case they’re reading this and for the record - better looking, cleverer, more fun and far more trustworthy). You’ll join us in regularly socialising with our broker partners and deepening our understanding of them and our industry.
  • Flawless Fundamentals: Update company dashboards and KPI reports, track and analyze occupancy, and provide exceptional onboarding for new members. Help with team-wide initiatives and maintain accurate reporting.

Requirements

Who You Are:

  • Sales Practitioner & Negotiator: You have at least 3 years of experience in a sales context. You continuously strive to improve your sales acumen and understand how to structure deals to create value for both the customer and the company.
  • High Emotional Intelligence: You connect quickly with people, read actions as well as words, and build strong rapport.
  • A Fast Paced Communicator: You communicate clearly, quickly and effectively, and excel in negotiation. You are comfortable jumping between email, phone, face to face and whatsapp at pace, but also in slowing down to dig deep into customer needs.
  • Opportunistic: You’re proactive, always seeking new ways to connect with potential customers without being told.
  • Attention to Detail: You maintain a pristine CRM and are thorough and accurate in all work.
