- Lead the establishment and management of the Product Control team.
- Drive improvements in balance sheet reporting through standardization and automation.
- Participate in the development of Checkout.com's Accounting and Control capabilities during a period of significant growth.
- Experience in financial accounting and operational processes within complex, regulated environments.
- Professional finance qualification (ACA or equivalent).
- Expertise in IFRS and general accounting principles.
- 8+ years in financial accounting with a focus on reconciliations and controls.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams.
- Proven project management skills, particularly in automation initiatives.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and data analytics.
- Experience with financial systems, ideally Workday, is desirable.
- Understanding of the payments industry or Fintech is beneficial.

The Role As we continue to grow in size, scale and complexity, we are looking for an experienced Manager to join our Finance function. Reporting to the Head of Finance, Product Control, this newly created role will be responsible for setting up and leading our Product Control team to ensure our trading activities are accounted for accurately and in a timely manner. The successful applicant will be joining at an exciting time as we invest in strengthening our Accounting and Control capabilities and improve the quality and robustness of balance sheet reporting, particularly standardisation and automation of our accounting and reconciliation processes.
Job Requirements Successful candidates will bring experience of leading and delivering financial accounting and operational processes at scale in complex, regulatory environments, ideally within traditional finance, banking or payments/fintech. You'll be able to adapt in a high-volume and dynamic environment , juggling multiple deliverables whilst maintaining accuracy and quality of output. Professional finance qualification such as the ACA or equivalent. You'll also hold practical knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles. 8+ years of financial accounting, reconciliations and controls experience ideally within a listed environment or large complex company. Strong understanding of double-entry and complex accounting concepts Strong people leader with a track record of leading a sizable team with varied skill set/experience. Proven ability to find end-to-end solutions to issues and work cross-functionally and with remote teams - including Finance, Product, Engineering, Data. Ability to lead projects of high complexity to automate manual tasks with the team or department. Extremely strong working knowledge of MS Excel Strong data analytics skills and experience handling large volumes of data Systems knowledge, particularly Workday would be highly desirable Knowledge of the payments industry and/or Fintech would be beneficial.
