Chase Community Solar (CCS) is a Community Benefit Society, registered with the FCA under the Co- operatives and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014. CCS was established in 2014 with the twin aims of addressing the climate emergency by installing solar PV to reduce carbon emissions, and tackling fuel poverty.
The role entails managing the Society’s financial affairs, working in partnership with our administrative and accounting contractor, Sharenergy. The Treasurer must be a member of the Society or become one by purchasing (at least) 100 £1 shares, and is appointed by the Board. The position is unremunerated, as is that of all CCS Board members.
Job requirements include financial management or accounting background; strong analytical skills; good communication and interpersonal skills; commitment to the Society’s objectives. The role of Volunteer Treasurer is part-time, with an estimated commitment of 3 hours per month.
