Role Summary

  • Primary contact for People-related inquiries, offering expert guidance on policies and legislation.
  • Drive employee engagement and foster our unique culture.
  • Implement and manage talent development activities, including learning and development programs.
  • Maintain People processes, policies, and legal requirements within our systems, ensuring data integrity.
  • Oversee the employee benefits program and lead the performance management process.
  • Contribute to the People strategy, identifying growth opportunities and taking initiative from concept to delivery.

Role Requirements

  • Previous experience as a People Advisor, ideally in a startup environment.
  • Proficiency in people management systems (HiBob or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and experience in employee relations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships within the company.
  • Proactive problem-solver, able to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Passion for Learning and Development.

The role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced People Advisor to join our dynamic team at Numan. As the primary point of contact for People-related queries, you will provide expert guidance on policies, procedures, and employment legislation. You will play a pivotal role in driving employee engagement, fostering our unique culture, and supporting talent development initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating an inclusive, high-performing workplace.

You'll be:

  • Serving as the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding People-related questions, offering expert advice on policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Leading our employee engagement program by planning, supporting, and executing initiatives that champion our company culture and promote a positive work environment.
  • Implementing and managing talent development activities, including the design and delivery of learning and development programs that support employee growth and career progression.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information on People processes, policies, and legal requirements within our People systems. Ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of all employee data.
  • Overseeing our employee benefits program, conducting regular reviews to ensure we offer the best possible proposition for our team.
  • Leading the performance management process, ensuring fairness, consistency, and the promotion of a high-performance culture across Numan.
  • Contributing to the People strategy by identifying opportunities for growth and improvement within the team and the business. Taking ownership of these initiatives from concept through to delivery, ensuring effective communication of progress and changes across Numan.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience in a People Advisor role, preferably within a start-up environment.
  • Extensive experience using  people management systems, we use HiBob although experience using others is fine.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and practices, with hands-on experience in managing employee relations cases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels within Numan. 
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Experience with Learning and Development initiatives.
