This family-run business, based in Lindfield, West Sussex, UK, prides itself on its lean operations, offering about 3 to 5 quality trips annually to a high-net-worth clientele, focusing on unique, characterful experiences away from the mass market.

Role Summary:

  • Manage the intricate administration of travel projects, coordinating with clients, suppliers, and partners across the globe.
  • Ensure meticulous attention to detail in the planning and delivery of tours.
  • Work independently with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Collaborate closely with a small team, sometimes with minimal supervision.
  • Adapt and respond to changing plans while ensuring high service levels.
  • Bring enthusiasm and confidence to the role, along with a warm, personable approach.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with computer applications like Google Drive, Excel, Word, and Dropbox.

Role Requirements:

  • Outstanding organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Independent work ethic with a knack for juggling multiple projects.
  • Advanced skills in spreadsheet management.
  • Capability to work flexibly, managing workload to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of computer literacy.

Logistics:

  • Remote work setup with scheduled communications and meetings with directors.
  • Weekly workdays/hours will be mutually agreed upon for planning and workflow.

Remuneration:

  • A retainer of £1,600 per month for an equivalent of 2 days per week, with the possibility to increase days as needed.
  • Position is on a self-employed basis with monthly invoicing.

Who we are – The Company 

●      Small family run business based in Lindfield, West Sussex, UK.

●      Lean and mean, no overheads, or big office and lots of staff. Work from home.

●      Create and curate unique bespoke driving adventures for a high-net-worth clientele of loyal customers.

●      Have a portfolio of classic and vintage car tours in Europe and 4x4 adventures in Africa and the Middle East.

●      Don’t do any advertising, all business through personal recommendation and word of mouth.

●      Each trip is researched, planned, prepared, and delivered by us using a core team of specialist crew members.

●      Only offer a small number of high-quality trips- around 3 to 5 per year.

●      More of a boutique travel service, nothing mass market. Tours are often commissioned by clients for their friends and family. We have been called the ‘Coutts of Travel’.

●      Steers clear of any large, corporate chain suppliers, instead seeking out small, unique places, full of character, quality and low-key luxury.

●      Place high value on the relationships we create with our clientele, partners, and suppliers. We only work with people we like.

●      Believe in the power of tourism to have a positive impact wherever possible and benefit communities at a grass-roots level.

What we need…

Running a travel company is extremely admin heavy. Necessitating the need to deal with numerous different project suppliers, clients and partners (all of whom may be in different countries) at any one time. 

A major factor to the successful delivery of our tours is attention to detail. Our trips stand or fall on this policy.

We have reached our own personal capacity on this and need to hand over these very important tasks to a highly capable and competent team member. Thus allowing us to concentrate on what we do best.

You’ll be…

●      Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.

●      Ability to work independently, with good time management skills.

●      A spreadsheet ninja.

●      Able to work on multiple projects at the same time whilst maintaining very high levels of service to both clients and suppliers.

●      Work closely within a small team, but often with little supervision.

●      To be forward thinking, adaptable and able to work under pressure.

●      Make a plan, change that plan when needed, and then deliver the plan.

●      Looking for a challenge and want to work for a small business with big ideas.

●      Able to work flexibly as and when required, sometimes not much to do, sometimes huge amounts to do.

●      Manage your own time and workload to deliver results as and when agreed with TDF directors.

●      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in person, written email, comms etc…

●      Enthusiastic, confident and warm.

●      High level of computer literacy, and experience using most, if not all, of the following programmes: Google drive, Excel, Word, Dropbox etc

Logistics…

·       Remote working with regular ‘catch-up calls’ and in-person meetings with TDF directors.

·       We will we mutually agree which days / hours you will be working every week. This will allow both parties to plan workflows accordingly.

Remuneration ….

●      Retainer of £1,600 per month (equivalent to £200 pd for 2 days a week) to start.

●      As and when needed, there will be the opportunity to increase the number of days per month.

●      You will be self-employed and invoice every month.
