  • Develop and drive the content creation strategy for all stages of the customer journey.
  • Produce and manage a diverse range of content including case studies, videos, articles, and marketing literature.

  • Master's or PhD in Biology/Molecular Biology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in marketing within the Life Sciences industry, particularly in tools and reagents.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills for scientific communication.
  • Proven track record in executing marketing campaigns and product messaging.
  • Ability to travel throughout Europe and internationally as required.

Your role in our team:

Working alongside the bit.bio Products Team, you’ll be at the heart of defining and driving marketing activity. The effective, efficient creation of high quality, compelling content will be core to achieving the goals of the marketing team and wider commercial teams. This content will be used in all channels, and across campaigns, including the website as part of an engaging customer journey. 

In addition you will own campaigns, upon which you will tactically execute. You’ll be expected to be involved at all levels, including planning, driving campaigns and competitive differentiation while supporting other elements of the marketing mix.

This role will support the work of the commercial team and executives on projects directed at maximising company profits and developing sales strategies such as lead generation or marketing campaigns. They work closely with employees in other functions, such as the sales team, product managers, and science teams and are expected to work with external stakeholders such as creative agencies and content creators.

This job is full of variety, and you’ll need to be able to turn your hand to a multitude of tasks. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Own the bit.bio content creation strategy, ensuring that the bit.bio content portfolio is appropriate for all stages of the customer journey, in line with the different campaign requirements stated in the marketing plan.
  • Both manage the creation of and create content such as case studies, videos, application notes, long- and short-form articles, website copy, blog posts and marketing literature (including brochures, leaflets etc.) that communicate product features and target key audiences.
  • Contribute to our website SEO approach with other key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the different stakeholders, both internal and external (SME‘s, Graphic Design, Agencies etc) to ensure timely delivery of planned content.
  • Plan, implement, execute, and analyse customer-focused marketing campaigns from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration, aligned with company and team objectives.
  • Create and build on product/campaign messaging that sets new products apart from others in the market to give them a unique market positioning. 
  • Communicate the vision and value of current and new products to the market and develop sales and marketing tools that facilitate the selling process.
  • Take ownership of the overall customer journey, considering tactics and content required at each stage.
  • Plan and participate in the launch of new services and products which involve several different departments.
  • Support Marketing Operations with the initiation, organisation and execution of events, exhibitions, webinars, conferences and seminars where appropriate.
  • Coordinate and support execution of the production of event and exhibition collateral.
  • Work with the product team to establish positioning and identify target audiences to drive customer-focused activities and messaging.
  • Obtain insights into customers’ usage of current products, untapped opportunities, and buyer personas, through interviews, surveys, focus groups and sales data.
  • Employ marketing research and analytical techniques to gather important competitor intel and market insight.

You…

  • Have a minimum Masters or PhD Bachelor in Biology / Molecular Biology or a related field of study or equivalent experience.
  • Have previous experience of marketing in the Life Sciences industry in the tools and reagents areas.
  • Have a meticulous eye to detail, with the ability to enforce and evolve our company language and lexicon.

With essential experience in…

  • Significant experience of both creating content, writing scientific copy and managing external/internal content creators in lifesciences, particularly with complex scientific products. and solutions.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, particularly for communicating scientific information, applications, and articles of interest accurately and appropriately to different target customer segments, including scientific buyers, influencers, and users in the buying journey.
  • Proven experience of planning, developing and executing marketing campaigns with a range of tactics and content types.
  • Demonstrable track record of success in product messaging and positioning. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate value proposition and technical information to a range of customer and internal audiences required. Experience developing and presenting marketing materials required.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
  • The ability to travel throughout Europe and internationally as required.

  • Experience in launching new, complex products and achieving excellent business results; developing and implementing marketing and go-to-market / commercialisation strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives.
