Move Dance Feel CIC, an award-winning initiative, is at an exciting juncture of expansion, dedicated to using dance as a support mechanism for women affected by cancer. As a Communications and Engagement Specialist, you'll be an integral part of a team committed to addressing inequality in cancer care and supporting wellbeing through the arts.

Move Dance Feel CIC is an award-winning initiative with a mission to address inequality in cancer care by making dance available, as an effective means of support, to all women living with and beyond cancer.
We are in a pivotal stage of organisational growth and, therefore, seek a passionate Communications and Engagement Specialist to amplify our heartfelt mission and grow our community.
This role offers the chance to gain substantial experience in nonprofit communications while making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.

About the role:
- Part Time - 6 to 8 hours a week, or 32 hours p/m equivalent (freelance)
- Duration - 2 years (with potential for extension and additional hours and pay, subject to funding)
- Remote Hybrid Position - occasional in person meetings might be required
- Salary - £22k FTE (approx £416 p/m)
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Communications:
- Collate and develop internal communication materials to strengthen our identity and company voice
- Create engaging and diverse content for educational and promotional use
- Provide support with data analysis, monitoring, and reporting
External Communications:
- Lead on scheduling a communications calendar / regular communications activity
- Help to design and execute external communication campaigns that raise awareness of the benefits of our work and make visible our impact
- Craft compelling narratives that showcase our unique approach to dance and health
- Support the promotion of our activities and events
- Collaborate on developing visually appealing marketing materials
Engagement:
- Build and develop relationships with referral partners in the arts and the healthcare sectors
- Build and nurture relationships with our community of participants, ambassadors and training alumni
- Build and maintain relationships with our digital community, funders and public supporters
What we’re looking for:
- Experience or educational attainment in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Arts, Health, Nonprofit Administration, or a related field
- Experience or knowledge of public relations, preferably in the health or arts sectors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms
- Understanding of dance, or cancer, or long-term health challenges
- Ability to translate complex health and dance concepts into accessible content
- Management skills and organisational prowess
- Creativity and innovative thinking
- Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in content management systems and design software (e.g. GDrive and Canva)
- Proactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Strong commitment to fostering and respecting diversity in all its forms, ensuring an inclusive and kind environment for all
- Demonstration of resourcefulness in problem-solving, coupled with a good sense of humour, making it easier to navigate challenges and unexpected obstacles
