About the role
We’re looking for a highly experienced individual to lead, develop and support all areas of performance programming for Newcastle United Women from the 1st team through to the academy. The role will lead, manage and mentor the multi-disciplinary team including Medical, Performance, Sport Science, Nutrition and Psychology so that each area is optimised to enhance the physical development, and health and wellbeing of our elite female athletes. The role will work alongside NUFC leadership, to support and drive the strategic aims and objectives for Newcastle United Women to be a top performing team in the NWSL 2030
Your impact
It is essential to have a qualification at Masters level in Sport Science, Physiotherapy or Strength and Conditioning from an accredited institution. You will also have a diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine with a BASES/UKSCA accreditation. You will have extensive experience working at senior level in elite football with strong experience working with elite female athletes senior and youth level. You will need to understand the physiological demands and medical standards of elite women’s football. An added bonus would be if you have knowledge of working in WSL or other elite leagues across USA/Europe. You will have the ability to plan, organise and deliver multi- stakeholder projects on time in budget at a high performance level.
