THE ROLE

The role of Senior Account Manager is to work across a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering integrated and strategic branding projects. The Senior Account Manager works with our brand, digital, design and specialist teams to deliver creative and innovative solutions. If you like variety, you will have the opportunity to lead on a mix of creative projects and bring your integrated, commercial and strategic knowledge to every project.

Please note, this role will be based in our Manchester or Birmingham office 3 days per week.

What you’ll be doing in this role

The role of an Account Manager is three-fold:




  • Project Manager – exceptional clientswill demand exceptional delivery skills. As a key member of the team, youwill be expected to deliver projects which demand hands on involvement.You will also be expected to ensure different work streams dovetaileffectively and taking ultimate responsibility when overseeing the work ofthe studio. This is an integrated role managing accounts which incorporatebrand & marcomms, engagement, reporting and digital elements.


  • Client service – Emperor prides itselfon its client service and it is a key reason why clients choose to workwith us. You will be organised and efficient in yourcommunication/documentation and, most of all, personable in the way youwork with clients and colleagues. Relationships matter and when somethingis in doubt, or a deadline is looming you will instinctively pick up thephone rather than rely on email. Delivery alone isn’t enough; we want ourclients to want to work with us again and again.


  • Commercial success – a strong commercialawareness is critical to the role. Our client service team are at theforefront of scoping and pricing and are accountable for deliveringprojects profitably. Having the confidence to talk about budget issueswith clients is essential.

Some of the key day to day responsibilities include:




  • Proactive approach to relationshipbuilding


  • Day-to-day contact for clients


  • Provision of an exceptional clientexperience, from the timely issuance of agendas and contact reports toclear on-going communication and sound judgment of when to escalate issues


  • Act as a partner and safe pair of handsto your clients

  • Management of delivery process from kickoff to completion

  • Production liaison/briefing/management


  • Attend to all reporting needs
