Role Summary:
- Play a pivotal role in financial compliance, partnering with stakeholders for group-level audit and reporting.
- Manage audit processes and financial filings across various regions including the UK, USA, Europe, and APAC.
- Handle VAT, Consumption Tax, Intrastat submissions, and support FP&A cash flow forecasting.
- Oversee Corporation Tax exercises and manage timelines and deliverables.
- Contribute to global Financial Statements and compliance projects such as R&D and Transfer Pricing reviews.
- Own the month-end process, intercompany accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and provide insightful financial commentary.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to group-level financial reporting and accounting processes. This role plays an integral role in the month end and annual audit process as well as taking a key role in partnering with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial compliance across the group. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, an eagerness to learn, and a desire to progress within the retail industry.
The Role:
Financial Compliance:
Assisting role in Group Audit, maintaining close contact with group auditors and management of audit deliverables
Manage and assist with subsidiary audits and financial statement fillings for all entities in the group across UK, USA, Europe and APAC as required
Manage periodic VAT, Consumption Tax and Intrastat submissions
Support FP&A cash flow forecasting for VAT and Consumption tax
Oversee Corporation Tax exercise including producing deliverables and stakeholder and timeline management
Support with production of global Financial Statements
Support with compliance related projects including R&D and Capital Allowances recovery and Transfer Pricing reviews
Manage the Docusign process for compliance procedures
Month-end Ownership:
Full ownership of Intercompany balance sheet accounts, postings and reconciliations
Management of resulting Balance Sheet risks and ops
Prepare and review consolidation elimination journals
Collating and posting general accruals and communicating releases with cost centre owners
Produce monthly overheads and Balance Sheet commentary documents
About you
Essentials:
Part-qualified accountant
Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting
Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines
Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, global business environment
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong academics
Strong organisational skills; ability to manage multiple projects in an efficient way

Useful:

Experience in a multi-territory, multi-currency retail environment
