Purpose of the Role As a Workshop Technician for Origin, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing coffee equipment in our Leyton workshop. You’ll work closely with the Workshop Manager and other team members across our London, Cornwall, and Bristol locations to ensure our machines are fully operational and meet the highest standards before they are dispatched to customers or field engineers.
What You’ll Do You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a range of speciality coffee machines and grinders, including La Marzocco, Mahlkonig E65/E80/EK, Bunn, and Marco. You will also assist with stock control, ensuring the right parts and tools are always available. You will provide remote technical support to field technicians when required and contribute to continuous improvements in our processes.
About You You are a technically skilled and detail-oriented individual who enjoys problem-solving and working with your hands. You thrive in a fast-paced, organised environment where efficiency and precision are key. With a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork, you take pride in ensuring every machine that leaves the workshop is in peak condition.
Skills & Experience You have previous experience in a technical, mechanical, or electrical repair role. Experience working with speciality coffee machines is preferred but not essential as training will be provided. You have strong problem-solving skills with an ability to diagnose faults and repair machinery. You have good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads. You have the ability to follow technical manuals and use diagnostic tools.
