Role Summary
- Responsible for leading the 'Thrive' outcome of CEE, ensuring its strength and sustainability.
- Integral part of the senior leadership team, providing support to the Chief Executive.
- Key role in implementing new strategies, identifying new funding streams, and meeting the needs of the growing member base.
Role Requirements
- Experience in operational management and systems development.
- Significant experience in at least one of the following: organisational development, human resources, financial management, data management, software systems, office management, project/programme management.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate staff.
- Effective communicator, able to convey complex information to a diverse audience.

The role We are looking for an experienced operations manager to lead on our ‘Thrive’ outcome: ensuring that CEE is a strong and sustainable organisation that can serve the community energy sector into the future. This is a key role for CEE as we start to implement a new strategy, bring in new funding streams, and explore new ways to meet the needs of our growing membership. You will form part of our small senior leadership team and be an integral support to the Chief Executive. Job requirements You will thrive in this role if you are experienced in operational management and systems development (this can be from any sector), with substantial experience in at least one of the following areas: organisational development, human resources, financial management, data management, software systems, office management, project / programme management. You should have strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and retain staff. You should be a persuasive communicator who can convey complex information effectively to a diverse range of people and organisations. Benefits We offer a salary of £46,000 -£52,470 p.a. (dependent upon experience, with scope to increase as the role develops), 25 days paid holiday a year plus bank holidays (pro rata if part-time), with an additional day after 2 and 5 years, 7% employer pension contribution, and Climate Perks (extra annual leave for staff who choose low-carbon holiday travel).
