The opportunity

Resource Futures has an exciting role for a positive, energetic, and solutions-focused Business Systems Manager to support teams and people across Resource Futures to deliver high quality, impactful work. The Business Systems Manager will play a key role in making our Business Strategy objectives a reality. Effective business systems, that are tailored to the needs of the business, are essential to support all four pillars of our business strategy: 1. to support our People to do enjoyable work in a healthy and fun work environment; 2. to maximise our Positive Impact; 3. to ensure High Quality in all that we do; and 4. to deliver Growth in our impact in a way that is financially sustainable. 

We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Manager who is highly self-motivated and innovative and enjoys implementing and managing systems to help people do their jobs better and with confidence. The role comes with a place on the Business Operations team. The position comes with a permanent contract for 22.5 hours per week and the opportunity for hybrid working. 

Responsibilities

  • The ongoing integration of IMS into the business at both a strategic and operational level. We are EMS (ISO14001) and QMS (ISO9001) accredited.
  • Ensuring business management systems support the strategic aims of the business and are fit for purpose for IMS requirements. 
  • Working with Finance, HR, and the Executive team, help evolve the use of our cloud-based integrated project management and resourcing platform (CMap) to drive quality improvements across the business in how we manage and deliver projects.
  • Liaise with colleagues who have responsibility for other business systems to ensure they are fit for purpose with regards to IMS E.g., HR and Finance.
  • Be responsible for the ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditation process ensuring all requirements and actions are met including but not limited to: internal management review meeting, monitoring and external audits
  • Ensure that there is a robust system for raising non-conformances and identifying and implementing corrective actions.
  • Report to the Executive as required on monitoring of performance and improvement action plans.  
  • Monthly on non-conformances.
  • Quarterly on the internal audit, changes in procedures and performance against objectives.
  • Induct new starters into IMS and disseminate information and training to staff including changes to procedures and the performance of the IMS including performance against objectives and internal audits.
  • Support the setting of and monitoring (utilising data in CMap) of KPIs as identified through the business strategy.
  • Any other duties associated with maintaining accreditation and achieving continual business improvement. Review and recommend new ways of working to ensure consistent quality and maximise the value gained from our existing software packages and systems. 
  • Support the triennial B Corp impact assessment audit as appropriate and support the development of plans linked to improving our B Impact score. 

To have an impact in this role, you will be

  • Experienced in developing, implementing, and monitoring business systems to support and drive continuous quality improvements.
  • Experienced in the implementation and management of ISO9001 and 14001.
  • Experience of the range of business system tools that are available to support effective working and demonstrated ability to successfully introduce new ways of working in a fast-paced hybrid workforce. 
  • Skilled at building and effectively managing interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • An excellent communicator in all forms.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Driven to work in an ethical professional consultancy committed to putting the wellbeing of our people at the heart of being a successful company.

Great to haves

  • Experience of working in a SME consultancy or similar professional services environment.
  • Experienced trainer, including experience in delivering train-the-trainer packages.
  • Familiarity with the B Corp scheme and its accreditation processes.
