What is Flash Pack?

When was the last time you made a new friend? Friendship profoundly improves our emotional wellbeing, sense of belonging, purpose and happiness. Everyone wants more human connection but making new friends is really hard. That’s why we exist, with a mission to create one million meaningful friendships across the globe, using the power of travel and technology as a platform for connection.

We are Flash Pack – small, luxury group adventures for solo travellers aged 30-49.

We launched in 2014 to disrupt outdated clichés associated with group tours and empower a new generation of bold, energetic solo travellers in their 30s and 40s. This untapped demographic had not only been underserved by the travel industry, but misunderstood.

We quickly transformed into a high-growth, mid-stage start-up connecting Flashpackers in over 15 global markets. Customers who travelled with us LOVED it – and we grew really fast as a result. Then Covid hit the travel industry. The last 18 months have been a journey but we’re back with the support of fantastic venture capitalists, and have massive plans for global expansion in 2022 and beyond.

International demand for solo travel is starting to boom once again – and Flash Pack is here to lead the charge of a growing global movement. To fulfil this mission, we’re expanding our team with some of the best talent around. Will you join the mission?

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic Operations Manager to join our Adventure Operations team. This is an operational role focused on developing, managing and improving a portfolio of tours in Asia and the Americas (the exact tours and regions are likely to change over time). The Junior Product Operations Manager is the primary point of contact for our local suppliers and is responsible for the successful and profitable operation of all tours within their regions

This is a Remote Flexible role meaning that while it is contracted to the London office there is flexibility to work from home. Please read more here.

What you’ll be doing:

Supplier Management - you'll be responsible for all operational logistics of your tour portfolio and day to day communication with your local suppliers

Operations - you'll set dates and confirm allocations, action yield management decisions and ensure accurate tour literature and website content

Portfolio Development - you'll contribute to innovation and the set up of new itineraries, onboarding new suppliers, complete documentation and conduct leader training

Health & Safety - you'll complete individual tour risk assessments, ensure Flash Pack's minimum safety standards are met and assist with incident management

Quality Management - you'll be responsible for achieving world class NPS scores, for reviewing all customer feedback and continually improving the quality of your portfolio

About you

We’re after the right person. If you don’t quite hit all the criteria, you should still apply based on hitting the majority.

  • Experienced - you have 2+ years experience of managing operations and complex logistical challenges in a fast paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail - you are highly organised, thorough and focused at speed, usually picking up errors others have failed to notice
  • Excellent communicator - you can communicate concisely and authoritatively, and can develop successful working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Customer focused - you're passionate about travel and improving our customers' experience, constantly seeking to improve quality and champion NPS
  • Roll with it - you understand that startups are unpredictable environments. You’re flexible, comfortable with a degree of chaos and can handle challenging situations
  • You're nice - you get that the team is more important than yourself

The nice-to-haves:

  • Start-up experience
  • Travel Industry experience

Sound good? Then join our mission to create one million friendships through group adventure – and a friendly and energetic global team on the cusp of worldwide expansion.
