We’re looking to add an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to work with our client delivery teams to help manage the data workflow and deadlines across all our client projects. This role involves working with several different stakeholders internally and balancing different needs. It requires strong project management skills combined with the ability to problem solve and dive into a specific issue when needed. Ultimately this role is responsible for supporting the successful and timely delivery of our client work
This role will report directly to the Chief Client Officer, working closely with the VP of Client Excellence and the Head of Technical Delivery, as well as other stakeholders involved in the delivery process.
Responsibilities:
Develop and embed a strong process to ensure the end to end project execution is on schedule. This will involve updating all timelines and deadlines in Jira, our PM tool, managing dependencies and highlighting risks.
Schedule and support the project kick off process by ensuring that the right team members are in attendance and that key aspects of the project scope have been discussed and agreed upon, as well as any potential risks.
Act as the bridge between Technical Delivery and Client Excellence - you will be responsible for working closely with the Data Deployment, Data Science and Client Excellence teams to coordinate, monitor progress and ensure deliveries are on track.
Proactively communicate issues/roadblocks/delays and align different functions towards a shared goal. Despite our best intentions, there are sometimes unexpected challenges in a process. You will be responsible for communicating those challenges to the relevant stakeholders and working with them to arrive at a workable solution.
Conduct retrospectives / evaluations with relevant stakeholders, at appropriate milestones to ensure we document learnings and share them with the wider teams.
Develop best-practice project documentation / artefacts, including risk, action, and decision logs.
Identifying and implementing process improvements - you will proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiencies in your key areas and support the implementation of these improvements.
Requirements:
You will ideally have at least 5 years of commercial experience as a Project Manager or Delivery Manager on data-centric projects or in data-driven organisations
You will be extremely organised and be comfortable managing multiple projects / priorities at a given time
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders at different levels. The ideal person is firm and knows when to push back…but always does so in a professional manner!
Tools and certifications – you will have experience using Jira and other project management tools and have certifications demonstrating project management skills (e.g. PRINCE2)
A proactive, can-do attitude and extremely resourceful – you’ll be comfortable in a rapidly changing environment, working with limited resources, and delivering high-quality work at the speed which is necessary for successful business growth. You’ll be a self-starter who doesn’t need much guidance, who can think fast on their feet and is ready to pivot when required.
Experience in / exposure to market research / consultancy environment is desirable but not essential
