Role Summary

  • Devise and execute event strategies that support business objectives.
  • Conduct audience research and manage event budgets and logistics.
  • Oversee digital and in-person events, including webinars, workshops, and conferences.
  • Coordinate with speakers, manage virtual platforms, and handle post-event analysis.
  • Organize internal events, such as the annual Retreat and Summit.

Role Requirements

  • Proven experience in event coordination for both digital and in-person events.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Budget management and negotiation expertise.
  • Proficiency with event management software and virtual event platforms.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with Hubspot CRM, sustainability passion, and professional services marketing experience.

Location

The ideal candidate will be able to commute to Seismic's London office at least twice a week.

The role and its responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Events Lead to join our established marketing team. This role is responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of both digital and in-person events, ensuring they are engaging, impactful, and aligned with our company objectives. Working closely with our experienced marketing team and reporting into the Head of Marketing, this important role supports the commercial growth and brand awareness of our strategic marketing approach. 

The exact role definition will be dependent on the desire, capability and experiences of the right person.

Key responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Develop and implement event strategies that align with overall business goals

  • Conduct thorough research and identify target audiences for each event

  • Manage event budgets effectively and track expenses

  • Create detailed project plans and timelines for each event

  • CRM data management

  • Digital Event Management:

    • Plan and execute engaging online events such as webinars, virtual conferences, and online workshops

    • Manage virtual event platforms and tools 

    • Coordinate speakers, presentations, and digital content

    • Oversee technical aspects of digital events, including streaming, audience engagement, and post-event recordings

  • In-Person Event Management:

    • Source and secure appropriate venues for in-person events

    • Manage event logistics, including catering, AV equipment, and on-site staffing

    • Oversee event setup, registration, and attendee management.

    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure event objectives are met

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and speakers

    • Communicate effectively with attendees 

  • Post-Event Analysis:

    • Evaluate event success against key performance indicators (KPIs)

    • Gather feedback from attendees and stakeholders

    • Generate post-event reports and identify areas for improvement

  • Internal Events Management:

    • Planning and managing the logistics for our annual two-day Retreat and Summit events, with support from the internal team.

About you

At the same time you want to work in a friendly, collaborative and empathetic team who are delivering impactful projects for high-profile clients.

To be successful in this role you would need the following attributes: 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Events Coordinator or similar role, with a strong track record in managing both digital and in-person events

  • Excellent organisational, time management, and project management skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders

  • Budget management experience and negotiation skills

  • Proficient in event management software and virtual event platforms

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with Hubspot CRM 

  • Knowledge and passion for corporate sustainability 

  • Experience in professional services marketing

Importantly, you love client work and also working with teammates to iterate products and services. You are a team player - you like a laugh, but are not afraid to graft. You are a student of sustainability, have plenty to offer, and know you have even more to learn.

You are action oriented, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy juggling multiple projects and priorities and enjoy just the right amount of time pressure to help keep productive and focused. You are a ‘people person’ with a knack for building relationships with a diverse group of people.

Location

Ideally you will be within commuting distance of our London office You will be within commuting distance of our London office, attending the office (Spitalfields) at least twice per week.

Working hours 

We believe in flexible working hours to better suit our personal lives while being considerate of each other and our clients. We generally work office hours but trust each other to make fair decisions.
