Since raising £400k at a £3m valuation in 2016 we've grown commercial and awards income and profitability, transitioned to a data driven mindset based on lean startup principles and won 6 awards including Publishing Innovator of the year, Digital Innovation of the year and Consumer Media Brand of the year.

British Journal of Photography The oldest photography magazine in the world (est 1854) and an influential authority in the photography community globally. With growing reach of 3 million+ monthly, BJP is our cornerstone and enabler.

1854 Creates
In-house creative studio launched in 2017 working with brands to create visually compelling PR-able content that travels well on social media, working with our global talent pool and achieving outstanding results. Launched in 2016 Portrait of Britain became the most viewed photographic exhibition in the world, adding to our awards program which includes Breakthrough and the International Photography Awards. With two ambitious launches planned for 2018 this is a growing and exciting part of our business.
