At this current time these activities are being carried out: - Mental Health Awareness and Wellbeing workshops. These have been delivered to various organisations such as Unity Youth Association, Granby Toxteth Development Trust as well as the University Of Liverpool for one of the guild societies. - Mental Health Awareness through social media and Youtube. We have connected with YouTubers like Eve Bennett (220k subscribers) to work on videos that cover mental health awareness and wellbeing enhancement. We help deliver content and resources to them. This helps us educate the public on mental health and wellbeing and achieves our aim of benefiting the public by educating the public about mental health, wellbeing and the prevention of illness. - We hold awareness events and coffee mornings. These raise awareness for mental health. For example, we delivered a talk in Mountford Hall that looked at mental health conditions, how to get help and wellbeing tips. This allows for a social gathering and a place to learn about mental health and increase access to healthcare. We have also held arts and music events where we raise awareness for the charity and its aims. These helps us to “To assist in the treatment and care of persons suffering from mental or physical illness of any description or in need of rehabilitation as a result of such illness, by the provision of facilities for work and recreation.” To promote and protect the physical and mental health of the public through the provision of support, education and practical advice. To advance the education of the general public in all areas relating to mental health. Through signposting people to the services where they can be treated and helped, we are assisting in the treatment and care. Through demolishing the stigma of mental shealth, we are also helping people find the courage to speak to someone about their health. - We have delivered talks in schools on mental health and what to do if you need help. Some schools showed significant neglect in terms of mental health teaching. This raises awareness of mental health and wellbeing and develops their skills which allow them to be able to participate in society. - We have created partnerships with nursing homes to offer a buddying service so the wellbeing of those with old age can also be nourished. This allows us to achieve our aim of providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for people who have need by reason of age. These address our objectives to relief those in need by reason of youth age and health by raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing in order to improve mental health outcomes.
