Dock & Bay was born in 2015, evolving from the brains of co-founders Andy & Ben - who travelled, a lot - and needed a towel that folded up super small to take with them. So, they created a quick drying, compact beach towel, just like that. As you do. The first draft was actually a shower curtain, drunkenly pulled down with pieces of white paper placed on top to forge our (now iconic) striped pattern. Now? We make the world brighter. Through popping colours, innovation and looking after the planet in the process. The range has expanded from the beach to include hair wraps, bath towels, ponchos, towels just for kids and towels just for dogs (don’t get those mixed up). And much more. Six years and over 100 products later, here we are, and here YOU are, reading about us. Weird how the world works, isn’t it?
We show our support to charities we love and care about, who share the same vision as us of making the world brighter. We make regular donations to foundations such as Stonewall and The Red Cross. In total, since 2015, we've donated over £250k to those who need it most.
We also give a percentage of profit from specially-designed towels to these charities' amazing work. Our latest charity collab for 2023 is supporting The Hunger Project with towels designed by London-based artist Eloisa Henderson-Figueroa! Over 800 million people currently don't have enough to eat, so we're donating a percentage of the profit from each towel to help THP give hungry people the tools they need to feed themselves.
In their own words, Dock & Bay are ‘the boldest on the beach, in the bathroom and by the pool, and they won’t stop until they’ve made the world brighter.’ And we think that sums them up perfectly. Not only are their towels and quick dry products bursting with colour and stripes, each and every one is made from 100% recycled materials and they are aiming for carbon neutrality on their product supply chain by 2024. In their employee reviews Dock received a solid score, and it’s clear that they hold their team in high regard and support them to be better whilst feeling good. So if you want to join their mission to make the world a brighter place, take a look at their open roles.
