The work we do is hard and so rewarding. The people that work in this organisation genuinely make the world a better place in their thinking. And not in a 'nicey nicey' way, in a way that takes courage and strength and constant reflection and iteration.

FF’s deep and nuanced curriculum not only shifts the perspectives of the clients we work with, but forces me to consider the ways I can build upon my own anti-oppression practice. They hire empathetic, curious, and sharp people to deliver a strong pedagogy, and I always feel honored to meet them as I facilitate for more groups. Given the emphasis on inclusion in our work, FF practices what it preaches for its own employees by providing equitable payment for colleagues at sites of oppression who share a heavier burden of cognitive labor while facilitating. HQ is full of brilliant, powerful minds who encourage us to use the chaos of shifting policy and institutional power as examples to connect our clients with the urgent need to analyze and disrupt systemic oppression.

We're a small but mighty team that cares deeply about each other's success, growth and well-being, and I feel fortunate to be surrounded by folx who inspire and empower me to do better each day.
