We provide a visitor experience for all ages concentrating on the 900 year history of the site and the diverse ecology of the woodland and gardens. We generate a performing and visual arts programme with partners to widen the appeal to visitors. We have education offerings to schools based on the national curriculum. There are many opportunities to volunteer in the gardens, with the historic collection and for those with disabilities and learning difficulties in such activities as the cafe, a craft brewery, ice cream parlour and charcoal making. The historic collection is shared with universities and colleges for research opportunities as well as the gaining of practical experience of skills and crafts particularly in the outdoor spaces.
