Holme Farm Community Project is a new charity with new ideas, just registered in January 2022. Our Aim To bring communities together, and improve the mental and physical health of everyone who attends and offer other organisations opportunities. By creating a community where biodiversity, gardening, nature, workshops, arts, crafts, well-being, and socialising merge together. It will link together all ages and sectors of society and be accessible to those with varying needs, giving people a refuge to explore the local habitat, and biodiversity or become involved in gardening, bee-keeping, or nature. At the heart of the site are two buildings that will host activities including arts, crafts and a wood workshop, and a café run by people with learning difficulties to prepare for independence and employment The ethos of Holme Farm is that individuals, families, schools, or community groups can enjoy it in a way that suits them; whether through proactive involvement or as a visitor. In a nutshell, everyone and all contributions are welcome. You may decide to go for an allotment; take the opportunity to volunteer; find out more about beekeeping; rebalance by submerging yourself in nature; create links between your school and the local environment; learn new DIY, art, or craft skills; host a wellness group or class; serve tea or coffee or watch your children explore. In just a year Holme Farm has been awarded 2 Highly Commended Awards at Runnymede Civic Awards, more recently we were invited to meet with the Prime Minister and represented at the King’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace. The Project, which is managed and operated solely by volunteers, continues to make great strides in making a difference with those that need support Currently, we are looking at the possibility of partnerships for providing suicide prevention meetings. We need your skills so we can build on our success by finding the skills we are short of, PR & Media, HR, and management administration.
