Careers at 6th East Kilbride Scout Group

Our Scout Group was registered on the 10th April 1961, and has been based at the same location in the Murray every since. Our Scout Group has a Beaver Colony, a Cub Pack, a Scout Troop and an Explorer Scout Unit. We are part of the Strathcalder District and Clyde Scout Region. We believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more no matter if they are Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts or Explorer Scouts Each week, we give over 60 young people the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed. We’re talking about teamwork, leadership and resilience – skills that have helped Scouts become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians. We are a co-educational group who offer membership to boys and girls.  We believe that supporting people to reach their full potential is important, and we do this by offering a balanced programme. If you think scouting is just about boys, tents and woggles.  Join the adventure and let us change your mind.
