Careers at The Jenna Wilkins Foundation

The Foundation was set up in memory of Jenna who was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after her 21st birthday. She was studying to be a teacher and worked with children with special educational and emotional needs. She lost her battle with cancer. She was just 25 years old. We have carried on for Jenna. This is her legacy. This is us.    We support children to be the best that they can be. Our work includes:

providing Jen’s Dens in schools. It’s a safe space. A magical space where children who have experienced trauma or loss can feel nurtured. we provide professional counselling along with therapy dogs to support children through extremely tough and challenging times. we provide sensory rooms for children with special needs who struggle to access the curriculum. we provide gifts for those children who are not likely to get a visit from Father Christmas.

We provide a magical pantomime for a school where all children have complex needs and where a Jen’s Den wouldn’t be suitable. We provide one day that is truly magical for all children at the school. A secondary element to our remit is providing luxury care packages for anyone facing or caring for someone who is dealing with cancer. The packs are bespoke to the person and contain products that aim to relax.
