The aims of the organisation are to: (1) save people money and tackle inequality, giving low income households affordable access to tools and equipment, (2) change people’s perception of consumerism, promoting sharing as a sustainable alternative to shopping, (3) build a culture of democratic and community ownership and active citizenship through volunteering and cooperative governance, and (4) provide opportunities for people to learn practical DIY and sustainability skills and knowledge
