Black girls face a number of inequalities that hinder their personal, social, and academic development in the United Kingdom. These inequalities manifest in various forms, including lower academic achievement, higher exclusion rates, and limited access to leadership and development programs. Stereotyping and discrimination based on race and gender are significant contributing factors to these inequalities bloss.m Scholars is the latest addition to bloss.m's services offered within school settings, focused on improving the life outcomes of African/Caribbean girls aged 14-18 in the UK. The programme seeks to address the gaps that exist within the UK education system for black girls, particularly those from low-income backgrounds. Through a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on leadership development, academic support, and mentorship, bloss.m Scholars aim to equip participants with the skills and confidence necessary to succeed in their academic and professional pursuits.
