The Activity Den

The Activity Den is based in Stanley, a former mining town midway between Consett and Chester Le Street. It’s a challenge and that’s why The Activity Den is so important for our community. We work with around 100 children and young people regularly each week. We will also engage around 150 children and young people via specific activities and events. Our children and young people are front and centre of all that we do.    Imagine a young peoples community centre where they get all the best nights, hold the power and the keys and have all the resources they need to learn and have great fun in their space. Our beautiful old refurbished Victorian School is awash with colour and opportunity designed and shaped by young people.  It’s well equipped, warm and welcoming to all who enter through our doors.
