Lactation Consultants of Great Britain LCGB (first founded 1994) is a registered charity which works to improve the health and wellbeing of families across the country by protecting and supporting breastfeeding, through advocacy and expert breastfeeding care.  LCGB is the professional association for International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs). IBCLCs are trained to provide practical and emotional support through expert clinical management of common and complex breastfeeding issues. The majority of IBCLCs in the UK work in the health services, but many also work in the voluntary or independent sectors.
