Preserving for the benefit of the people of Weston-super-Mare and the nation, the natural, historical, architectural and constructional heritage of Birnbeck Pier, Island and surrounding local area, together with associated buildings and structures, and the land and buildings adjacent to, and above the shoreline. This also further encompasses any other natural, historical, architectural or constructional heritage that may exist in and around the town of Weston-superMare, including buildings of particular interest or relevance.
