Role Summary:
- Working in a cross-functional team to acquire and retain users by developing new features for our web application and serverless services.
- Diving into our backend tech stack to ensure our search infrastructure is resilient and our web services are adaptable, high-performing, and scalable.
Role Requirements:
- Experience with production code deployment in the Go programming language.
- Able to work within existing system design and architectural patterns.
- Experience with Observability systems and setting up monitoring and alerting for services.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
- Good communication skills in English.

As a Software Engineer at Ecosia, you will work with a cross-functional team to contribute to the acquisition and retention of users by delivering new product features for our web application and/or serverless services. You will dive deep into our backend tech stack, making sure that our search infrastructure stays resilient, making sure that our web services remain adaptable, high-performing, and scalable.
Job requirements include experience building and deploying production code in the Go programming language, ability to work within existing system design and architecture patterns, experience in navigating Observability systems and in setting up monitoring and alerting for services, basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure, and good communication skills in English.
