Crossings Community Group

Our beneficiaries are refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. We aim to help them integrate into the local community and this is very important as many of them have been forced to leave their country of origin through persecution, leaving family and friends behind. Loneliness, language problems and the difficulty of settling in to a different culture, are in many cases exacerbated by poverty. Sadly ill informed hostility can sometime be a factor.  Helping this client group mix with others in a similar situation, and people from the local community, enables new friendships and cross cultural exchanges that can greatly enhance their feelings of self-worth.
